Yes, the EnviSensTemp sensor has a waterproof probe made of stainless steel that can be used in humid locations, and even directly immersed in liquid (e.g., in water tanks). However, it's important to remember that the connection to the EnviSensor data logger is not waterproof and should be protected from direct contact with water.
A maximum of 4 sensors can be connected to one EnviSensor device. These can be various types of sensors (temperature, humidity, leak, etc.) depending on the needs of the monitored environment. Each EnviSensTemp sensor occupies one of the four available inputs in the data logger.
The choice of cable length depends on the distance between the EnviSensor data logger installation location and the point where you want to measure temperature. We offer three standard lengths: 1m, 3m, and 5m. The 1m cable works well for measuring at a close distance from the data logger (e.g., in the same server cabinet). The 3m cable is the most commonly chosen variant, providing installation flexibility. The 5m cable allows placement of the sensor at a significant distance from the data logger. For special orders, we can also provide sensors with non-standard cable lengths.
EnviSensTemp sensors are factory calibrated and ready to use right after connection. For most applications, the standard accuracy (±0.5°C in the range of -10°C to +85°C) is fully sufficient. For applications requiring special precision, such as monitoring in laboratories or medical facilities, we offer an optional calibration service with a certificate. We also recommend periodic recalibration of sensors (every 12-24 months) if they are used in critical applications requiring the highest measurement accuracy.
Yes, the EnviSensTemp sensor is ideal for use in freezers, including low-temperature freezers. With a measurement range from -55°C to +125°C, the sensor performs excellently in monitoring negative temperatures. The waterproof probe is resistant to condensation, and the solid cable construction ensures reliability even in difficult conditions. However, it should be noted that at lower temperatures (below -30°C), the measurement accuracy is ±2°C.
